Lazy Gluten Free: Red Apple Lipstick Review & Giveaway

Red Apple Lipstick Review & Giveaway

I have to admit, I have never been very sensitive about whether or not my skin care and beauty products contain gluten. I mean, I make sure that anything that goes on my lips is gluten-free, but beyond that, I've never seemed to have any issues. I do read all the labels on the products I use, and I know that my make-up and lotions are gluten free, but my hair products contain wheat amino acids. But honestly, as long as I don't chew on my hair I have never had an issue.

For the past several years, I have been using various lip balms and have been mostly satisfied with them. My only issue is that I feel like I am reapplying at least once an hour, maybe more. Talk about time consuming. When I started seeing Red Apple Lipstick come up in tweets and posts by my fellow GFFs, I had to check them out. Boy am I glad I did - what an awesome company! Red Apple Lipstick makes all of its products from scratch so you're guaranteed to get a great product. Also, there is no petroleum, no animal bits, no gluten, soy, dairy, corn, harsh chemicals or GMOs in any of the products. What you're left with is lip balm and lipstick that are the most moisture-rich products I have ever used, and they last for hours!

Rallye Balm
I was instantly in love with the Rallye Balm after using it for only 24 hours. Let's put it this way, I put chapstick on every night before bed, and since I sleep with my mouth open, my lips are always dry and chapped in the morning. Not with the Rallye Balm - seriously, I woke up and could still feel it on my lips. This is the most moisturizing and longest lasting lip balm I have ever used. I'm obsessed.

Lipstick

I am not normally one to wear lipstick, but I decided to give Red Apple's a try since it came so highly reviewed. Much like the Rallye Balm, the lipstick is very moisturizing, and it lasts a long time! My sister and I went out for a night on the town, and I let her use my new Red Apple Lipstick. A couple hours and a glass of wine later, she was amazed at how much did not come off on her glass, and that her lips still had great color. Not to mention, there's no heavy feeling like wearing paint on your lips. It feels nearly like lip balm.

Eyeshadow

This is one thing that I always wear. I'll never go out of the house without at least mascara and a swipe of light eyeshadow - bare minimum. I currently use whatever color of whatever brand I like from the grocery store, and I always end up with creases by mid-day due to my oily-ish skin. So I was very interested to see how Red Apple's eyeshadow would compare. The color was great the shadow went on wonderfully, but it also formed a crease like my other shadows. So unless you're going to use a primer or you are blessed with perfect eyelids, you'll probably have the same results...which leads me to...

Primer
Showing eyeshadow plus using primer after 11 hours of wear!

I was super stoked when I received an exclusive email from Jay (RAL's founder) asking to try out their new primer! As I mentioned, I have creasing problems with my eyeshadow due to my somewhat oily skin. I have to say, I was blown away by the results. I've used the primer everyday since I received it and I love how much it reduces the creasing (usually no creases at all!). Also, I discovered that the primer works amazing as an under-eye dark circle cover up too. Playing around one morning, I decided to try it (since I have fair skin), and it worked awesome! I'm definitely hooked on this primer.

All in all, I was very happy with my Red Apple Lipstick experience. What also impressed me was how easy it was to choose colors that looked good with my skin and hair coloration.  I am now the proud owner of several Rallye Balms and a few shades of RAL lipstick. I'm wearing 'Oh My Guava' in the pics in this post, but my favorite so far is the 'Boys N Berries'. I know that the price tag on RAL's products might be a little daunting, but I promise it is all worth every penny. What sold me when I was initially hesitating is that RAL has a 6-month no questions asked return policy which virtually eliminates any risk of trying out the products.

If you're still unsure, enter my giveaway below for a full-size Oh My Guava Lipstick and Chocolate Martini Eyeshadow! I love these products so much that I want you to try them too. So I will be giving away both products to one lucky winner!
