While at the Chicago GFAF Expo this past April, I had the wonderful opportunity to sample so many wonderful products. One of those was Grab the Gold snack bars. These tasty little bars are loaded with protein, fiber and better-for-you ingredients. They're great for on-the-go or when you need a snack that will give you a boost.
I met Danielle, the CEO and founder of Grab the Gold, at the expo and was able to ask her about her company and why she broke into the gluten-free market. She explained that after so many years of being dissatisfied with the protein breakfast bars on the market at the time, she decided to develop her own option. When she was just 16, she took to her mother's kitchen and made her own bar out of the ingredients from her pantry. Danielle ended up making a delicious little bar that tasted just like a no-bake cookie, but was loaded with the nutrients she was looking for.
It took a while for Danielle's Grab the Gold bars to catch on, but hard work and dedication pays off, and these little bars are gaining momentum. I asked Danielle why she decided to make her bars gluten free. She told me that originally that was not her intention. However, she received feedback from many people who were gluten free saying that they enjoyed her bar without any issues. Concerned that Grab the Gold was not GF certified, Danielle took the necessary steps to become so, and the GF label was put on the bars. Not only are they GF, the bars are dairy-free, vegan and contain no GMOs.
My husband and I became quickly addicted to the Grab the Gold bars. These little round snacks taste almost just like a no-bake cookie, and are very satisfying. With 11g of protein and 7g of fiber, Grab the Gold makes a great on-the-go breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up. I was hooked on them after just one bite!
