Lazy Gluten Free: Crunchmaster Review & Giveaway!

Crunchmaster Review & Giveaway!

When going gluten free, it's really easy to reach for products that are convenient and quick. Many brands have started ensuring that their products are gluten free (Frito Lay to name one) and there is an ever-increasing amount of gluten free snacks hitting the shelves. However, a lot of these products tend to be loaded with empty calories and highly processed. What's a gluten free girl to do??

Well, one solution is to eat lots of produce instead of the calorie-laden processed snacks. This is all fine and good, but if you're anything like me, sometimes your craving for sweet or salty snacks just won't be quenched by any fruit or vegetable. This brings me to my second solution - find products that offer sweet or salty deliciousness and are superior in terms of ingredients and nutrients to their counterparts!

Crunchmaster is one of those awesome brands that offers better-for-you products. This brand believes in keeping its products simple and doesn't add any artificial flavors, preservatives or as they say "other icky stuff". The crackers are also non-GMO, and free of cholesterol and saturated fats. What you're left with is simple ingredients like rice, sesame, quinoa, amaranth and flax seeds, which are all super-foods that have good nutritional value.

Shortly after I first went gluten free in 2008, I remember my parents coming home from a trip to Sam's Club all excited. They had discovered a gluten-free cracker at the store called "Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers" (one of the first of its kind at the time!) and couldn't wait for me to try it. Since then, I have enjoyed snacking on Crunchmaster crackers. So you can imagine that I was very excited when I was contacted by the brand and asked to do a review on LGF!

Popped Edamame Chips
Oh. Em. Gee. These chips were so good! I honestly didn't really know what to expect when I opened the bag and saw them. They look like a cracker, but when I bit into one, it was light and airy like a chip. I don't know how Crunchmaster did it, but they came up with a delightfully addictive gluten free snack!

The Popped Edamame Chips are made from rice and, obviously, edamame. You can snack on 18 chips for just 130 calories with 3.5g or less of fat, 3g protein and 22g carbs. I sampled the Sea Salt and the Wasabi Soy varieties. The sea salt was very good and about what I expected. The wasabi soy on the other hand took me by surprise. It was slightly spicy, but that faded quickly so it wasn't overwhelming. Not being one for much spice though, I preferred the sea salt chips.

Multi-Grain Crackers
I sampled the Roasted Vegetable and White Cheddar varieties of the Multi-Grain Crackers and I have to say, I loved them both! These gluten free crackers are extremely flavorful and you can have 15 for just 130 calories, 3g fat, 2g protein, and 23 carbs.

The Roasted Vegetable crackers had a wonderful flavor of red and green peppers with just the right amount of seasonings. Similarly, the White Cheddar crackers were packed with all the cheesy goodness you would want. These crackers are definitely addictive but if you can manage to pull yourself away, they do have a convenient resealable bag.

Multi-Seed Crackers
I was sent the Roasted Garlic Multi-Seed Crackers for review. When they say garlic, they mean garlic! I'm not complaining though because I adore garlic, I seriously use it in almost everything I make. So these crackers were right my my alley for sure! You can munch on 14 of these crackers for just 140 calories, 5g fat, 3g protein and 20g carbs.

While snacking on some Crunchmaster crackers, my husband made the comment that when they call a product a certain flavor, they really mean it! I definitely agree with that statement. Since I love these crackers and chips so much, I (with the help of Crunchmaster) would love to share the delicious goodness with one of you!
